The gunmen, who were wearing masks and gloves, took the workers to the back of the store before leaving with an undetermined amount of money, said Macon police detective Jim MacDonald.
"It seems like they hid in the back of the store and came up on the girls," MacDonald said. "One of the girls was cleaning and the other was counting the money."
After the gunmen left the building, shortly before 9:30 p.m., the women were able to remove the tape and called police, MacDonald said.
